The East Grampian Coastal Partnership (EGCP) is a voluntary group of individuals, with representatives from local authorities, industry, conservation bodies, recreation and tourism groups, local residents and many others who have an interest in the future wellbeing of the local coast.  The East Grampian Coastal Partnership was set up to aid in the delivery of Integrated Coastal Zone Management in the area, between Kinnaird Head, Fraserburgh and the mouth of the River North Esk, by St Cyrus.

Aims and Objectives

Our aim is to assist in the delivery of Integrated Coastal Zone Management between Fraserburgh and the mouth of the River North Esk on the East coast of Scotland. To deliver this aim the Partnership shall:

• Promote the sustainable development of the East Grampian coast to benefit local communities
• Seek to protect, preserve, enhance and promote the natural and cultural heritage of the East Grampian coast
• Engage stakeholders and affiliated bodies through improved information networks, consultation and involvement in seminars and workshops
• Act as a forum to discuss multi-agency issues
• Seek to initiate, develop and deliver practical projects in conjunction with partner organisations
• Carry out and/or commission research relating to coastal zone management, coastal GIS information building and audit the effectiveness of the partnership on an ongoing basis  
• Work with the Scottish Coastal Forum, other local coastal fora and relevant organisations to develop, implement and deliver regional and national scale projects, at the same time influencing national policy relating to integrated coastal zone management
