The Scottish Coastal Forum was formed by the Government, under independent Chairmanship, in November 1996. Its aims are to:
The Scottish Coastal Forum supports nine local coastal fora that cover much of the Scottish Coastline. On the East cost of Scotland the Moray Firth Partnership covers the area from Duncansby Head to Fraserburgh, the East Grampian Coastal Partnership covers from Fraserburgh to the River North Esk, by St Cyrus, the Tay Estuary Forum covers from the River North Esk to Fifeness, whilst the Forth Estuary Forum covers the area from Fifeness to Dunbar.
