Cetacean Surveys

NORCET surveys are a collaboration between Aberdeen University, The Seawatch foundation, Northlink Ferries and EGCP. They involve volunteers carrying out whale and dolphin transect surveys on the MV Hascosay en route to the Northern Isles.

If you have a good knowledge about whales and dolphins or are keen to learn and want to become involved in the surveys please get in touch with the EGCP Project Assistant, Emily Hastings. These surveys are free but do involve a lot of time; however with lots of good sightings on most trips they are very worth while.
