Marine Awareness Event

This event, was held at Balmedie by the NE LBAP to highlight the areas’ rich marine biodiversity and increase public awareness. The event emphasized how important the marine environment is and the connections it has to everyday life. By increasing our understanding of this special environment, it will show how our individual actions can have significant repercussions and how small changes can benefit a variety of species and habitats.

  • engage in a publicity campaign to raise awareness of the problem, through press releases and  producing posters and leaflets to target the problem at source
  • conduct a further beach clean event to tie in with Beachwatch to see if the amount of rubbish has been reduced in September 2007
