Climbing

The area has some great sea cliff climbing for all levels on traditional climbing routes where you place your own gear rather than the bolted routes akin to mainland Europe. The climbs span the entire length of the coast from Fraserburgh to St Cyrus.

If you have never climbed before but fancy giving it a go why not head down to Transition Extreme at the beach front in Aberdeen, who offer introductory climbing courses ran by trained instructors in the safety of an indoor wall.

For bad weather there are indoor walls at Transition Extreme, RGU Sport, Aberdeen Beach Leisure Centre and Peterhead Community Centre.
