The beach North of Aberdeen stretches, uninterrupted for 12 miles giving some excellent opportunities for Kite Surfing. The beaches are perfect in this area as they are wide, quiet and usually pretty windy.  Balmedie was home to the most recent kite surfing event in the area where some of the best surfers in the UK competed in Round 5 of the BKSA Championships. The weather was perfect for the event with blue skies, sunshine and a strong wind.
